Family Day 2014

 

The Enfield Public Schools, with sponsorship from the LEGO Children’s Fund, will be hosting the 16th  annual Family Day, Sunday,September 21st
from 11:30 am – 4:00 pm on the Town Green.  All community members are invited to join us for this fun filled day of free entertainment, contests, and games.  As a fundraiser, local school organizations will be selling food items, doing crafts and having games for children to play.  All other activities are free.  For a complete list of activities and participants, along with times of contests and entertainment, visit

Family Day 2014

Play Bingo for prizes, register for the Amber Alert Child ID Program, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Enfield, play mini golf, bounce on inflatables, visit fire trucks and a smoke house, and much more.

Come for lunch! Organizations will be selling pizza, hot dogs, nachos, ice cream. Popcorn, cotton candy and more.

Schedule of Events

Entertainment:

11:45 – Games and Dancing with DJ John Ross

12:30 – Enfield Idol Winners Perform

1:00 – Asian Performing Arts Chinese Dancing

            Followed by a workshop to learn a dance

2:00 – African Drumming and Dancing

            Followed by a workshop to learn movement and rhythm

2:15 - K9 Dog Demonstration by the Enfield Police

3:00 – Music of Rob Blaney

 

Contests:

11:30 – 3:30 Sidewalk Chalk Contest

            Sponsored by the Enfield Cultural Arts Commission

            Open to all students K – 12th Grade – with three age categories

 

12:00 – 3:00 Enfield Elks Soccer Shoot Out

            Registration begins at 11:30

            Trophies given out 4:00 at the Gazebo

 

1:15 – 1K Kids Fun Run

            Registration begins at 12:00

            Two categories – under 8 years and 9 to 14 years

            A parent must be present to register
