Family Day


The Enfield Public Schools, with sponsorship from the LEGO Community Fund U.S., will be hosting the 18th annual Family Day, Sunday, September 16th from 11:30 am – 4:00 pm on the Town Green.  All community members are invited to join us for this fun-filled day of free entertainment, contests, and games.  Everything is free excluding food and items being sold by school and community organizations as fundraisers.  In the event of inclement weather please call the School Closing Hotline at 860-253-5170 for information.

Free 1K Kids Fun Run at 1:00

Two Categories:  Under 8 years & 9-14 years

Registration starting at 12:00 noon near North Main Street.  Parents must be present to register.

Sidewalk Chalk ART CONTEST

Sponsored by the

Enfield Cultural Arts Commission

11:30 – 3:30 pm (Winners announced at 4:00)


Registration is required at the Enfield Cultural Arts Table near Main Street prior to drawing.

Three Categories:  Pre-K to  Grade 3, Grades 4-6 & 7-12 

Winners in each category will receive Target Gift Cards.  
First Place - $20, Second Place - $15 & Third Place - $10.

School Groups will be selling food, items, and sponsoring

activities as fundraisers.

Pizza, Cotton Candy, Ice Cream, Snow Cones, Popcorn, Snacks and Drinks, Games, Raffles, and more!

Numerous community organizations will be providing information and activities for families.

Child ID Kit

The Loyal Order of the Moose will scan the child's fingerprints, take a photo and enter information on the child.  Then transfer it to a flash drive that is given to the family.

STEM Scout Mobile Lab

Visit the STEM Scout Mobile Lab, equipped with smart TV's, computers, microscopes and a variety of lab equipment for fun hands-on experiments for  all ages.

Amber Alert Child ID Program

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Enfield

This program provides parent/guardians of children under the age of 18 with a plastic ID card and sends information to a secure national database that is only accessible by law enforcement officials. With consent, children are weighed, measured, and photographed. Parent/guardians are given a free ID card for each child.

This program is active in all 50 states and has helped to save the lives of more than 430 children nationwide.
