Ice Hockey Rinks

 
Avon Old Farms - Jennings Rink (Avon)
Take I-84 West to Exit 39 (Route 4).  Continue through the traffic light at the end of the ramp onto Route 4.  Go through the blinking yellow light in front of the car dealership.  Take a right at the next light onto Route 10.  Follow for about 3 miles.  At the traffic light, take a left onto Old Farms Rd.  Follow Old Farms Rd. for a little over 1 mile.  You will pass some athletic fields (Fisher Meadows).  Take a right between two stone pillars onto the Avon Old Farms campus.  This turn is hard to see.  Follow this road until you see the rink on your right.  Park where you can.
 
Bolton Ice Palace (Rockville)
Take I-84 East into East Hartford.  Exit onto I-384 East (toward Providence).  Proceed on I-384 until it ends (approximately six miles).  At the end, the road forks,  take the right fork onto US 6 East.  Approx. 1 mile down the hill, the rink is on the right at the bottom of the hill (across from Munson Candies).
 
Connecticut Skating Center - Newington, CT (Newington, Wethersfield)
I-84 East to Exit 39A Route 9 South.  Route 9 South to Exit 29 Ella Grasso Blvd.  Left at end of ramp onto Ella Grasso Blvd.  2/10 of a mile to traffic light.  Turn right onto Fenn Road and follow to end.  At end take left onto Cedar Street.  Take left at Citgo Station onto Alumni Road.  Follow Alumni Road to stop sign and take a right.  The rink is on the left.
 
Danbury Ice Arena - Danbury, CT  (Immaculate)
I-84 West to Exit 5.  Take a right off the ramp toward downtown.  At the 6th light take a left onto Liberty.  Take your first left (the rink is the building on your right).  Take your first right.
 
Enfield Twin Rinks (Enfield, Tri-Town and Suffield)
I-91 North to Exit 46 (King St.).  Take a left at the end of the off ramp (Route 5 South).  Take a left at the first light (Weymouth Road).  Follow until end (2 miles).  Turn left at the end of Weymouth Road to Simon Road.  At the four way stop sign, continue straight.  You will see John F. Kennedy Middle School on  your right.  The Enfield Twin Rinks will be on your left (Prior Road). (If parking lot full, please park at John F. Kennedy Middle School across the way).
 
The Gunnery School - Washington, CT (Shepaug Valley)
I-84 West to Exit 15 (US Route 6 in Southbury).  Follow US Route 6 East to Route 47.  Turn left onto Route 47 North.  Follow Route 47 North until you reach Gunnery School near the top of the hill on the right.  The rink is in a valley.
 
International Skating Center of CT - Simsbury, CT (Farmington and Simsbury)
I-84 East to Exit 39 (Route 4 Farmington, UCONN Health Center).  Proceed straight onto Route 4, continue through Farmington Center.  Then turn right at second light onto Route 10 North.  Proceed on Route 10 toward Avon.  Turn left (Route 10 & Route 44).  In Avon turn right at the light (you will be on combined Route 202 and Route 10) toward Simsbury Center.  Skating Center will be on the left side after Wagner Ford.
 
Northford Ice Pavilion - Northford, CT (Branford)
I-91 South to Exit 12.  At light take a left.  At second light take a left onto Blakeslee Ave. (across from Burger King).  Go to the end of the road and take a right onto Bassett Road.  At the light take a left onto Clintonville Ave. (Rt. 22).  The rink will be approximately 1.3 miles on your left (next to the Firelight Factory).
 
Salisbury Prep School - Salisbury, CT (Housatonic)
I-84 West to Exit 39 (Rt. 4 Farmington).  At the end of the long exit ramp, go straight through the light onto Route 4 West.  Follow Route 4 through Farmington, past golf courses on the right, under Railroad Bridge, into center of Unionville.  At five-way intersection, bear right (not hard right) to continue to follow Route 4 out of Unionville.  When Route 4 turns hard left, do not take this turn; continue on road with Farmington River on your right.  This is Route 179.  At stop sign in Collinsville, turn right following Route 179.  Go over bridge, past Post Office on right, then take your first left (Gulf Gas Station in on the corner).  At second traffic light, turn left onto US 44 West.  Follow 44 West through Winsted, Norfolk, and Canaan.  After Canaan, 44 winds making a sharp right turn, followed by a steep hill climb.  At the top of the hill, look for the entrance to Salisbury School on the left.  Go into the driveway and follow it around to the left as it passes the gym.  Park behind the gym and walk over the foot bridge to the entrance to the rink.
 
South Windsor Arena (Manchester, South Windsor, Tri-Town)
From the intersection of Rt. 140 and Rt. 5 (Sofia's Plaza).  Continue on Route 5 South for approximately 8 miles.  The rink is set back from the road.  The driveway to the arena is sandwiched between a pub and a small car dealership.
 
Terry Connors Rink - Stamford, CT (Westhill)
Take I-91 South to I-95 South, take exit 9.  At the light, take a left.  At first light, take a right onto Seaside Ave.  Follow to the end (about 1.5 miles).  Take a left and go to the bottom of the hill into the Cove Island Park Complex.  Turn right, the rink is on the right.
 
Veteran's Memorial Rink - West Hartford, CT (Conard)
I-84 West to Exit 43 (Park Rd. West Hartford Center).  Take a left at the end of the exit ramp onto Park Road.  Follow Park Road for exactly 1.5 miles.  You will go through 3 lights.  (At the second light Park Road will change to Sedgewick Road).  Take a left onto Buena Vista.  The rink is ahead on the right about 3/8 of mile.
