Administrative Appointments for FY2017-18

Sandra Ingalls – K-12 Guidance Coordinator

This fall, Sandra Ingalls will begin her tenth year as an administrator for Enfield Public Schools.  She has served as Principal of Eli Whitney School for the past five years.  Prior to that, she was Principal of Enfield Street School and an assistant principal at John F. Kennedy Middle School.  Before becoming an administrator, Mrs. Ingalls worked for several years as the school counselor at Enfield Street School and later, as the Academic and Behavioral Support Specialist at Thomas G. Alcorn School.

Prior to coming to Enfield, Mrs. Ingalls taught middle school mathematics in Tolland and South Windsor.  Mrs. Ingalls holds a Master’s Degree in School Counseling and a 6th Year Degree in Educational Leadership.  She has served on numerous committees throughout her tenure, including safe school climate and teacher evaluation.  While not inside a school building, Sandie enjoys being out of doors – especially spending time at the shore.  Mrs. Ingalls looks forward to supporting students and their families in her new role as K-12 Guidance Coordinator.

Cory O’Connell – Enfield High School Athletic Director & Business and Family and Consumer Sciences Coordinator

Cory has been a business education teacher in Enfield since 2001 and has been leading the Business and Family and Consumer Sciences departments for the past three years.  He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Roger Williams University and a Master of Education from University of New Haven.  After spending 10 years in the classroom, he began to focus on school administration and completed the CAGS program for Educational Leadership at American International College.  Cory’s administrative goal has been the role of athletic director and continued his study by earning Registered Athletic Administrator with the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.

Cory has been very active within the school district from both the academic and athletic areas.  Most recently he has been a key piece in the development of the new Culinary program and Career Counselors at Enfield High School.  He has also acted as the DECA advisor, school store manager, College Career Pathways coordinator and the district grant writer for the Carl D. Perkins Grant.  He acted as the faculty athletics manager at Fermi High School for 10 years.  He also coached basketball at both high schools leading the Enfield High School boys’ basketball team to numerous successful seasons including 3 conference championships and 2 trips each to the state quarter and semi-finals.  In his tenure as coach he earned Conference Coach of the year twice.  When Cory is not at Enfield High School, he likes to find various building projects around the house, play guitar and find all the hidden nature spots in New England with his wife Colleen and bonus son Colin.
