What's the BUZZ all about?
The Buzz Robotics team participates in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology) Robotics Competition. The team consists of engineers from Hamilton Sundstrand Space, Land & Sea in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, and students and teachers from Enrico Fermi High School and Enfield High School in Enfield, Connecticut.
The Buzz Robotics team is now starting our 13th year of participation in the FIRST Robotics Program. The robot shown to the left is the 2008 "OVERDRIVE" robot, BUZZ 13. Work on BUZZ OVERDRIVE is now complete and at the FINISH LINE!
In 2008, BUZZ has already competed at the BAE Systems Regional in Manchester, NH and just completed the UTC Connecticut Regional in Hartford, CT. In New Hampshire, BUZZ was able to finish the qualification matches in 9th place and was selected by the 2nd seed (Team 1058) to be a part of their alliance, along with Team 1824. Unfortunately, our alliance lost in the semi-finals. Results in CT are shown above.
