"Responsible Citizens-Lifelong Learners"

In partnership with the community, the mission of Enrico Fermi High School is to educate our students to be productive and responsible individuals and citizens in a global society. Did you know that your required summer reading could win you passes to the Baseball or Basketball Hall of Fame, movie passes with refreshments, or a Game Stop gift card?  Just fill out a book review form at the Enfield Public Library and earn a raffle ticket for every 100 pages you read.  Raffles will be drawn August 19.

Don’t forget to pick up a calendar of events for young adults.  It is available in the school library, at the public library or on the Enfield Public Library’s web site.

Events include a manga and comics workshop conducted by a graphic novelist and comic strip creator from New York City as well as an improv acting workshop, a vampire-themed book discussion and party, Guitar Hero Thursdays, and a Spiderman movie marathon.  The program begins June 27.

The Capitol Region Education Council is offering an excellent two-day summer program designed to help students become successful in high school.  The program is designed for already competent students and focuses on reading and study skills.  It is not a remedial course.  The course is being held at Enfield High School from 9:00-3:00 on July 10th and 11th.  The Enfield Board of Education is offering a full tuition scholarship to a Fermi student wishing to attend the course.  Please see you school counselor for details.
