1.Close Word.

2.From FINDER, go to the GO menu and then Select ‘Go to folder.’

3.Next, paste exactly this in the Go to the folder:

~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content/Startup/Word/

4.If you didn’t find the folder from above method then navigate to this:

Users/YOURUSENAME/Library/Group/Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content/Startup/Word.

Note: You can open the Library folder by holding the Alt key on your keyboard while clicking on the Go menu, and choosing Library.

5.Next, inside the above folder, you will see a file linkCreation.dotm.

6. Move the file (Don’t copy) to another location for e.g. Desktop.

7. Restart Word and this time the error message will be gone.

  1. What do I do with the file I moved to the desktop? can it be deleted? or just filed away somewhere in another folder?
