PRESS RELEASE: April 25, 2025
Superintendent’s Office
Executive Assistant Appointment
Leslie Lawlor, Executive Assistant
Superintendent Steven A. Moccio and Deputy Superintendent Andrew B. Longey are pleased to announce the appointment of Leslie Lawlor as the next Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent.
Leslie Lawlor has been involved with the Enfield Public Schools for over 15 years as a parent and a PTO volunteer at Hazardville Memorial, Eli Whitney, John F. Kennedy Middle School, and Enfield High School Safe Grad as she follows her teenage daughters through their Enfield Public School journey. She also dedicates her time to local organizations in town, such as the Enfield Food Shelf and KITE. This year she became Lead Coordinator for the Parent Leadership Academy (PLA) and has managed PLA’s Enfield Town Wide Tag Sale since its inception in 2011.
Though Leslie graduated from UCONN with a B.A. in English in 1996 and continued her education by earning her Teacher Certification from CCSU and then her Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, she entered the corporate world working in various roles for almost 30 years before making a career change in 2018 to pursue her love of education. She officially joined our Enfield Public Schools family as a staff member at Eli Whitney working as an Academic Tutor and Substitute Teacher. She is currently an Administrative Assistant at Eli Whitney where she has spent the last 5 years as the proud liaison to our school community, fostering relationships with students, families and our staff.
She is excited to begin the next phase of her career in the role of Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent of Schools. She brings a unique perspective to central office having the benefit of seeing our school system through the lens of a parent, a volunteer, a classroom teacher and being part of our office administrative team.
Please join us and welcome Leslie who will replace Kathy Zalucki who is retiring at the end of June after 28 years of outstanding service to Enfield Public Schools.
