Administrative Appointment for FY2022

 

Brenda Niemitz – Enfield High School

Mrs. Niemitz has joined Enfield High School to serve in the position of Dean of Students.  Prior to moving into building level administration, Mrs. Niemitz served as a Social Worker for the past 17 years.  She worked in the adolescent unit for The Department of Children & Families and for the past 10 years and has served as School Social Worker for Hartford Public Schools.  In her time there, Mrs. Niemitz worked in a variety of roles including 504 Coordinator, Title IX Coordinator, Attendance Monitor as well as Leader of Culture & Climate and Trauma Informed Restorative Approaches and Practices Implementation.  She also served as a field supervisor for UCONN School of Social Work.  

Mrs. Niemitz earned a Sixth-Year degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Connecticut State University.  Prior to that she earned her Master’s in Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans and her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Westfield State University.

Mrs. Niemitz is an avid sports fan and former college athlete.  She has coached basketball at several different levels from AAU to middle school and college.  She currently enjoys coaching her children in their many different activities.  She resides in Bloomfield with her husband and two children, Cameron and Arden along with their two Portuguese Water Dogs: Orzo and Fluff.   

Please join us in welcoming Brenda Niemitz as a Dean of Students at Enfield High School.  She will start this administrative appointment on January 18, 2022.
