Dr. John Gallacher, Superintendent of Schools, has announced that Charlotte Zenzick is Enfield Public Schools’ Teacher of the Year for the 2006-2007 school year. Mrs. Zenzick will be a candidate for the Connecticut State Teacher of the Year competition.
Mrs. Zenzick has eight years of experience as a Grade 5 teacher at Eli Whitney School. Growing up in Enfield, she attended Eli Whitney School, John F. Kennedy Middle School and Enrico Fermi High School. Mrs. Zenzick holds a Bachelor of Science from Russell Sage College, Troy, New York and a Masters in Education Degree from the University of Hartford. She has received numerous academic awards and is a member of several National Honor Societies including, Kappa Delta International Honor Society, Athenians National Honor Society, Psi Chi National Honor Society and a Ford Foundation Fellow.
In addition to teaching, Mrs. Zenzick is involved in many district and school-wide committees. These include the Teacher Evaluation Steering Committee, Math Curriculum Writing Committee and the Beginning Educator Support Team Advocate Committee. The Enfield Public Schools’ Family is proud to have Mrs. Zenzick as their Teacher of the Year.
