Administrative Appointment for FY2023-2024
Kristen Fitzsimons - Hazardville Memorial Elementary School
We are excited to announce Kristen Fitzsimons as the new principal at Hazardville Memorial Elementary School. In her 11 years employed by the Enfield Public Schools, Ms. Fitzsimons has served in many positions, including the assistant principal at Eli Whitney, and both a STEAM and mathematics teacher at JFK Middle School.
Ms. Fitzsimons earned her teaching certification from Eastern Connecticut State University, a Master of Science in educational leadership from Central Connecticut State University, a Sixth-Year Certificate in educational leadership from Central Connecticut State University, and is currently pursuing doctoral studies in leadership from American College of Education. Ms. Fitzsimons is excited to join the Hazardville Memorial family. She looks forward to working with a staff with a strong reputation for excellence and commitment to serving the students of our community. She looks forward to strengthening the sister-school relationship between Hazardville Memorial and Eli Whitney and preparing all students to reach their fullest potential.
Ms. Fitzsimons is a life-long resident of Enfield. She enjoys the beach and spending time with her family. Outside of school, she can be found on the pool deck as a coach for the Enfield Dolphins Swim Team.
